The Georgia Tech Software Policy requires that new software programs be disclosed to the Office of Technology Licensing. Students also are required to disclose new software programs as set forth in the Georgia Tech General Catalog. The Office of Technology Licensing is responsible for processing all software disclosures. A description of the software program and a copy of the program code must be furnished by the developer to the Office of Technology Licensing. Software will be copyrighted by GTRC.
Revenues received through the sale or licensing of software are distributed in accordance with Georgia Tech’s Intellectual Property policy, located in the Faculty Handbook. Authorization for the distribution is made by the Office of Technology Licensing.
