Starting January 1, 2013, the Office of Sponsored Programs is mandating the use of Cayuse 424 for all Public Health Service (PHS) Agencies proposal submissions if the forms suite is supported by Cayuse. Currently, over 98% of Grants.gov opportunities are supported by Cayuse 424 and most of Georgia Tech’s PHS funded proposals are submitted via Cayuse 424. Cayuse 424, delivers a validation engine that cuts development time, eliminates rework and improves first-time submission success rates to near perfect. During proposal development, the system performs real-time error checking based on agency and opportunity-specific rules, Grants.gov validations and other business rules. You can instantly find a specific error or warning, allowing you to resolve issues and submit error-free proposals every time. Cayuse 424 manages institutional information in one location, and applies it consistently to every proposal.
Since implementation in August 2009, the Office of Sponsored Programs Education Division has taught over 241 individuals and many more folks have been trained during a proposal submission. If you would like to know about Cayuse 424, please attend the upcoming class which will be held January 15 & 16. Faculty, Staff and Students are all welcome to attend our free classes. Register online at http://training.osp.gatech.edu/classes/. We can also bring this class to your department or college. Please contact Candice Ferguson at 404-894-0410 to make arrangements.
If you can complete Grants.gov forms, you are going to love Cayuse 424. Be on the lookout for future transition plans for other agencies to Cayuse 424.
